TL;DR

Native integration of LiveRamp's RampID into mobile SSP architecture delivers immediate yield growth by solving the addressability gap. iOS inventory enriched with RampID achieved a sustained 6.5% overall monetization uplift, with individual spikes surpassing 120%, while buyers drove bid increases ranging from 27.7% to 182.5%. Ultimately, people-based identity provides a direct, privacy-safe way for mobile publishers to recover lost value and unlock competitive demand.

Unlocking Proven Yield: The Outcome of Our Native RampID Implementation

In our June blog post, we discussed how the shrinking availability of traditional mobile identifiers is reshaping programmatic monetization – and why natively integrating LiveRamp’s RampID directly into our SSP architecture was critical to bridging the addressability gap.

Today, following full implementation and extensive A/B validation, the results are in: people-based identity resolution is delivering immediate, measurable yield growth for mobile publishers.

Strong Monetization Uplift Across Platforms

By enabling buyers to resolve identity and target authenticated audiences directly within the bid stream, publishers on our platform are seeing immediate performance gains.

  • iOS leading the charge: Inventory enriched with RampID attributes achieved a sustained +6.5% overall monetization uplift on iOS over a 30-day read. Key supply channels and app environments experienced even higher surges, with standout publisher environments seeing individual gains ranging from +12.9% to more than +120%.
  • Why iOS shows the strongest effect: This result reflects the reality of addressability inside in-app programmatic on iOS. Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework requires explicit user consent before the IDFA can be accessed, leaving a large share of impressions without a usable device identifier. In that environment, the addressability gap is real, persistent, and commercially meaningful. RampID helps restore signal where deterministic mobile identifiers are missing, which is why the uplift is most pronounced on iOS.
  • Android gaining momentum: Android has historically faced fewer addressability limitations because the mobile advertising ID remains broadly available. As a result, the addressability problem is inherently less acute there. Even so, RampID is now delivering a meaningful and growing uplift on Android as buyers extend their people-based bidding strategies across operating systems, showing that the signal adds value beyond simple identifier replacement.

Demand Density and Buyer Engagement

The uplift is being driven by buy-side demand partners that recognize the value of deterministic, privacy-safe identity signals and are actively bidding more aggressively on enriched impressions.

  • Higher buyer valuation: Leading buyers are placing significantly greater value on RampID-matched inventory, with bid-level uplifts ranging from +27.7% to +182.5%.
  • Broader adoption over time: What began with a concentrated set of early adopters has evolved into a healthier and more diversified buyer mix. Concentration among the top contributing buyers declined from 85% initially to under 60%, indicating that RampID-driven value is becoming more durable and more broadly distributed across demand.

What This Means for Publishers

These results reinforce a broader market truth: addressability is no longer just a defensive strategy – it is a direct lever for yield optimization.

On iOS, where consent requirements have structurally reduced identifier availability, people-based identity can help publishers recover addressable value that would otherwise be lost. On Android, where addressability remains stronger today, RampID still introduces an additional quality layer that premium buyers are increasingly rewarding.

For publishers, the implication is simple: the closer inventory can align with the identity standards used by the buy side, the greater the opportunity to unlock competitive demand and improve monetization outcomes.

Next Steps

  • Publishers already using LiveRamp ATS can benefit from native SSP matching with minimal incremental effort.
  • Publishers not yet using ATS can still gain value from SSP-level bridge resolution, while direct ATS implementation remains the best path to maximize match rates and long-term yield potential.

As privacy-first identity continues to redefine mobile advertising, the results from this implementation show that publishers do not have to choose between responsible addressability and performance – they can achieve both.
